Whatever, care about this week’s charts, despite no new games being released! GTA V usurps Advanced Warfare, taking top spot while Sledgehammer’s first crack at COD relishes in 2nd, and FIFA 15 reprises 3rd place. Expect this three-way title fight (Man, this sounds way more important than it actually is.) to continue throughout the year: these are the types of games that don’t seem to stop selling.
Far Cry 4 keeps its 4th place, while The Crew overtakes its Ubisoft brother, Assassin’s Creed Unity, leaving them both in 5th and 6th place respectively to complete Ubisoft’s hat-trick in this week’s charts. I’m running out of sports metaphors.
Minecraft: Playstation Edition comes back into the top 10, rising 4 places into 7th, with the Xbox version rising 2 places into 8th. Keep in mind that it would both these games would probably be much higher up in the list if Chart-Track kept track of digital sales.
Destiny falls 2 places into 9th, and Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor rounds out the top 10, rising 3 places.
There have been 2 Top 10 casualties this week: DriveClub falls from 9th into 12th, and WWE 2K15 has a huge fall from ‘grace’, diving 9 places into 17th. The Top 10 will probably look a very different place next week, though, as Resident Evil HD Remaster launches on the 20th, plus Saints Row 4 is being ported to FIFA 15 coins PS4 and Xbox One on the same day as its Gat Out of Hell standalone DLC release date.
