Diablo 4 Season 8 Launches with the Return of Belial and New Features

Diablo 4 Season 8, titled “Belial’s Return,” officially launched on April 29, bringing back the infamous Lord of Lies from Diablo 3. Belial, who was the main antagonist in Diablo 3’s second act, was previously sealed in the Black Soulstone but has now escaped following the stone’s destruction by Malthael. This season immerses players in a new storyline where they must ally with characters like Sayeena, a retired Vizjerei mage, and Jarius, a Cathedral of Light knight, to investigate the mysterious Apparition Monsters unleashed by Belial’s return Diablo 4 Items.

Alongside the narrative, Season 8 introduces a host of gameplay enhancements, including the innovative Boss Powers system, which allows players to harness abilities once used by bosses themselves. This adds a fresh layer of strategy and customization to combat. Additionally, the update includes class balance adjustments, bug fixes, and new Legendary and Unique items to enrich the endgame experience.

The season also features a reworked battle pass system called Reliquaries, designed to offer players more choice and meaningful rewards. Unlike the previous linear battle pass, Reliquaries are divided into categories that players can selectively unlock, aligning better with individual gameplay preferences. This system uses a new currency called Favor, earned by defeating enemies, to unlock cosmetics and other rewards.

With the return of Belial and these new mechanics, Diablo 4 Season 8 aims to provide a more engaging and diverse experience for players, setting the stage for upcoming events like the Berserk crossover planned for May d4 buy gold.
