Giggs, who retired at the end of the last campaign, took over as the club’s assistant manager following the arrival of Louis van Gaal this past summer.

FINE CAREER

The Welshman, of course, enjoyed an incredible playing career at Old Trafford, racking up a grand total of 963 appearances for the club, while earning numerous honours for the club.

However, despite admitting that he occasionally thinks about playing, he’s insisted that he doesn’t have the time to miss the game, as his priority is now coaching his former teammates.

Speaking to BT Sport, the the former winger told reporters: “There’s been on the odd time this season where I’ve gone out for the warm up and I thought I wouldn’t have mind playing today.

Giggs and Co. will no doubt be in good spirits after the Red Devils secured all three points at St James’ Park against Newcastle United last night. It was wide-man Ashley Young who found the net late on for Van Gaal’s side as United continue their challenge for Champions League places.

Next up for the Red Devils is a crunch clash with rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup quarter finals at Old Trafford on Monday evening.

GIGGS HAS TO BECOME A MANAGER

The Welshman is made for management, and will no doubt one day prove himself as the main man in the hot seat at Old Trafford.

Of course, Giggs enjoyed a four game stint as the club’s temporary manager at the end of last season, so will no doubt be eyeing the position once Van Gaal steps down.

For now, though, he’s certainly doing the right thing, and will only learn a great deal from the experienced Dutchman. He’s surely destined to one day takeover at Manchester United, and it’s something that the Red Devils faithful will be desperate to see.
