I have to disagree. Rifts were cool, but they were pretty much old mechanics covered in a fresh layer of paint. Random rift spawns aren’t enough to compare them to dynamic events.
Secondly (and more briefly), I’m a little offended that there’s this idea that “casuals” are the only people who can enjoy good story elements in their MMO. What, if it’s not straight grinding, it’s casual-catering..?
I haven’t played the game, so I can’t speak much for the feature itself, but everyone who plays the game should be able to appreciate a feature that helps enrich the story.
